Preparing the commutator
Once all three contacts are assembled on the arm the cap is then placed at the end.

| Collect the parts shown on the right from your kit. |
|
| Insert each contact onto the arm as shown, on the right. |

| Place the commutator on the axle to complete the armature. Connect the three twisted wires to its own contact on the commutator and secure in place. | |
